Walleye season is set to open Saturday, May 13.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is working hard to preserve the walleye population in the state by restricting some lakes to a catch and release standard. Mille Lacs and Red Lake are being restricted first. No central Minnesota lakes have been restricted yet but KVSC will keep you updated on any changes.
