Drivers should be aware streets north of downtown St. Cloud will be periodically closed for surface repairs later this week.

The City Engineers Office says 1st Street North, which turns into 2nd Street North, will be closed one lane at a time going in each direction. The closures are starting Thursday at 9 a.m. from 10th avenue North to Veterans Bridge.

Roads will re-open Friday evening.
