A St. Cloud man with six prior arrests for driving while intoxicated was arrested Saturday night.

St. Cloud Police stopped 43-year-old John Wesley Jenkins in north St. Cloud just before 10 p.m. because his car had an equipment violation. Officers say he showed signs of alcohol consumption and failed the on-scene sobriety testing.

He was arrested and refused to take a DWI test at the Stearns County Jail. Two of Jenkins’ six prior DWI’s were felony level. 

His license was cancelled and he is being held for court pending multiple charges.
