Archived: Beat The Illness This Super Bowl Season
It’s the biggest weekend of the National Football League, and the United States Department of Agriculture has some advice for everyone going to a Super Bowl party this weekend.
The USDA says to avoid the food "Danger Zone," a temperature range from 40-140 degrees. This is the prime temperature range for bacteria to grow. Don’t serve your Super Bowl favorites, like chicken wings or pizza, for the entire party if they’ve been exposed to these temperatures for long time periods. Keep your foods out of the "Danger Zone" to limit the spread of illness.
By keeping your cold foods cold and your hot foods hot, everyone can have a fun, exciting, and healthy night.
