Archived: Health Care Premium Relief Pushed By Gov. Dayton

Minn. Gov. Mark Dayton is pushing republicans to pass immediate health care insurance relief that would cut health care premiums up to 25 percent for nearly 125,000 people.

Dayton’s Office says if the proposal passes, the relief could come as soon as this month. Without this proposal, some Minnesotans would be without proper health care until January of 2018.

The plan Dayton is proposing would create zero additional spending.

If it does not pass, the governor adds the republican’s plan will cost taxpayers an additional $20 million, and will leave many without health insurance until 2018.
