UPDATE:

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has postponed the demolition of the bridge over Interstate 94 near Maple Grove. They are concerned about the forecast  for inclement weather. Weather permitting, the Interstate will be closed January 20-22 instead.

However, when the work is scheduled, both directions of Interstate 94 will be closed for the demolition of the 101st Avenue Bridge near Maple Grove.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the bridge is being removed to make way for the new Highway 610 corridor between County Road 81 and I-94.

During the closure drivers should follow the posted detours and take Highway 169 and Highway 610 to avoid the construction zone.
