Archived: Barn Destroyed By Fire In Richmond Monday

A barn was destroyed in an early Monday morning fire in Richmond. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the barn was fully engulfed in flames when deputies and fire and rescue arrived about 3:45 a.m.

The barn is owned by Ronald and Sherry Rolfes and is located on 260th Street in Munson Township. The barn was used primarily for storage and no animals were inside it at the time of the fire. Items destroyed include lawn mowers, two four wheelers and other farm related implements.

The cause of the fire and amount of damage is unknown at this time. The St. Martin, Chain of Lakes Fire and Rescue units responded to the scene and were able to put out the blaze.
