A 56-year-old woman from St. Cloud is facing multiple assault charges after an incident Saturday morning.

Linda Kay Kruger was arrested Saturday shortly after 11 a.m. after a victim told police of the incident that happened at 100 19th Avenue North.

The 54-year-old victim told St. Cloud police that she and Kruger, who was her acquaintance, argued over some property. She says during the dispute the suspect became violent and hit her on the head, threw her to the ground and held a knife to her throat. The victim says Kruger threatened to kill her.

The victim was not seriously injured and police found a small kitchen style knife at the scene. Kruger is facing 2nd and 5th degree assault charges, as well as threats of violence and was wanted on an outstanding Stearns County warrant on 5th degree controlled substance charges.
