Almost 700 students will become alumni of St. Cloud State University as they take part in the fall commencement ceremony Friday.

University Communications says there will be five continents, 33 nations and 20 U.S. states represented in the students earning degrees.

Many different people will be speaking at the ceremony. Bailey LaPoint, an art major, will be giving the student address. She studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and interned in California. Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dan Gregory, will present the graduating class. Mayor Dave Kleis will bring greetings from the City of St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud State Chamber Orchestra will be performing music, directed by Marion Judish.

The ceremony will be at 1 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall.
