The recount for the District 14 state senate election is now complete and the results are in.

Jerry Relph released a statement Wednesday afternoon saying he won the recount requested by DFL Candidate Dan Wolgamott.

The recount was requested at the State Canvassing Board met on November 29. Wolgamott trailed Republican Jerry Relph by 142 votes, which qualified for a recount under state law.

After the recounts in Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties the final difference still left Wolgamott behind by 141 votes.

Brian Rice, head attorney on behalf of DFL State Senate candidate Dan Wolgamott says he will be briefing his client on the results and Wolgamott is expected to make a statement about his intentions and the outcome later this week.
