Students are invited to take a break from studying for finals to play with kittens and dogs this week at St. Cloud State University.

Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, John Eggers, says the de-stress event will be held on campus for students, faculty and staff.

Kittens are visiting from the Tri-County Humane Society and will be in the Atwood Gallery area Tuesday. The animals will be located in an area where people with allergies can avoid them if needed.

Highly trained and certified dogs will be on campus Thursday in the north side of Atwood’s first floor. All dogs are groomed and bathed so they don’t cause allergy problems. These animals will be handled by their owners and not roaming free in the building.

Personal pets will not be allowed for the de-stress event.

CAPS partnered with Student Health Services and Healthy Huskies to host the event.

Kittens will be in Atwood’s Gallery from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday. Dogs are visiting from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.
