Starting Thursday, roads in North St. Cloud will be closed for the 28th annual Festival of Lights.

The City Engineer’s Office says at 5:30 p.m., five blocks west of Hester Park and the Centra Care Clinic will close. Roadways between 14th and 7th Streets N. will be blocked off until 9 p.m. for the lighting event.

At the festival, people can see Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy horse-drawn trolley rides, holiday carols sung by the Tech High School Choir, and visit a live nativity scene. The activities start at 6 p.m., and the lighting ceremony at 7 p.m.

The hospital asks everyone to bring a nonperishable item for the food shelf.
