Archived: City Of Sartell Is Accepting Applications For Commission Volunteers
The application deadline is approaching to become a volunteer for the Sartell Planning Commission and Economic Development Commission.
Community Development Director Anita Archambeau says volunteers are needed to serve three-year terms.
The Planning Commission is made up of five people who advise the City Council on physical development and zoning of the city. They meet on the first Monday of each month, or as needed.
The Economic Development Commission is made up of eight citizens who give council members advice on local economic matters. This commission meets every other month.
City Council members are responsible for appointing volunteers who can be re-appointed for two more terms.
The application deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 29. Interviews will be held early next month, and formal council approval is scheduled Dec. 12.
