Election Day is here! In Minnesota, voting is made easy with same day registration.

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon is reminding everyone, “make their voices heard and vote on November 8.”

If you have not already registered, don’t worry, you are able to register to vote at your polling place on Election Day. All you need to register is one of the following photo IDs and documents to show proof of residence.

Accepted photo ID:

• Driver’s License
• United States Passport
• United States Military ID Card
• Tribal ID
• Minnesota University, College or Technical College Student ID
• Minnesota High School ID Card

Accepted documents:

• Bills, account or start of service statement due or dated within 30 days from the election.
• Phone
• TV
• Internet
• Waste or sewer services
• Electric, gas, or water
• Banking statement
• A lease or rental agreement
• A current student fee statement.

Polling places across Minnesota are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m., but as long as you’re in line by 8 p.m. you will be allowed to vote.

St. Cloud State University students that live on or around campus can vote in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom at SCSU.
