A mid-1700s comedy about estranged twins comes to life Thursday at St. Cloud State University.

Carlo Goldoni’s “The Venetian Twins” is about twins who never knew about each other, and then meet in town. The act involves sword fighting, romantic melodrama, betrayals, stealing and death by poison in a comedic fashion.

The production is directed by Jon Ferguson and presented by Theatre Forever, a live-performance company from Minnesota.

Performers take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Performing Arts Center’s Arena Stage.
