A local deputy was awarded for his efforts keeping intoxicated drivers off the road.

Stearns County says Deputy Chad Meemken arrested three drivers for DWI on Aug. 7.

When this happens the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety recognizes officials with the “Hat Trick” award. Meemken received a pin and hat for his work, which was presented by the Traffic Safety Office’s Regional Representative, Becky Putzke.

Stearns County thanks Deputy Meemken for helping increase public safety.
