Two St. Cloud area high schools are signed up for the first ever statewide mock election next week.

The Office of the Secretary of State says 282 high schools throughout Minnesota are participating. From St. Cloud, students at Cathedral and Technical High Schools will be voting.  

Mock voters will be presented with a ballot with a list of presidential and vice presidential candidates. At the bottom of the ballot will be a write-in line for other nominations.

Mock Election Day takes place Tuesday, Oct. 25.
