The Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center is seeking people willing to volunteer on crisis phone lines, at medical facilities and law enforcement centers in the area.

The center says there are openings for volunteer advocates who are looking for a rewarding experience.

It’s the volunteer’s duty to provide information and guidance to sexual assault victims, but before someone is qualified for this position they must go through 40 hours of training.

Volunteer shifts are open on evenings and weekends. The next training session starts Monday, Oct. 3.
