Archived: Two St. Cloud Students Received Two Scholarships From Central Minnesota Art Board
The Central Minnesota Art Board has awarded 12 scholarships to twelve students from around the state, including St. Cloud.
The news release says CMAB had a total of $18,000 to distribute among students attending an accredited institution in fine art.
Two St. Cloud students received two scholarships of $1,500. Claire Miller is a student in Fine Arts at Laguna College of Art and Design. David Thompson is a student majoring in Instrumental Music Education and Oboe Performance at St. Cloud State University.
Participants submit about five samples of their work along with three references and a set of questions to answer. A panel of volunteer artists, arts professionals and educators assess applicants’ works based on some criteria determined by CMAB.
Each student can receive up to four scholarships during their life.
