Archived: Metro Bus Extends Its Dispatch Center’s Hours For Dial-A-Ride
Metro Bus extends its schedule of its dispatch center to provide more assistance to the community members.
Communication Director Berta Hartig says customers who like to cancel their ride can talk with a dispatcher until 8 p.m. weekdays. Previously, customers had until 6:30 to make a decision about their ride.
Hartig says customers can make a reservation or make a change to their ride from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends.
Dial a Ride provide services to people with disabilities and those who are unable to use the fixed route buses. Riders are required to complete a certification before using the service.
Metro Bus offered more than 133,000 rides to customers in 2015.
