A house fire that broke out Friday morning in Lake Henry is currently under investigation.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says a fire started in the kitchen at the Goetzke residence, located at 23273 State Highway 4 in Lake Henry, north of Paynesville. Homeowners Victoria and Ronald awoke around 1:20 a.m. to the smell of smoke, and were able to escape with only minor injuries. They were treated for smoke inhalation by members of the Paynesville Ambulance.

Lake Henry Fire Department also responded to the blaze. The cause is still under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
