St. Cloud State University Public Safety, area police, EMS and school personnel will be holding training exercises in Stearns Hall on campus Wednesday.

University Public Safety says starting at noon there will be multiple law enforcement personnel, vehicles and equipment in use at Stearns Hall. The training should not affect daily life on campus, but you may notice tactical practices and emergency simulations during the training period and should not be alarmed.

Signs will be posted in the area saying the event is for training purposes only.

Stearns and Holes Hall are currently unoccupied and it have not been used as dormitories for the last couple of years.

Additionally, Holes Hall is scheduled for demolition this summer and the Residence Hall Association is planning tours, including tours of the tunnel system below, for mid-April for students and the public.
