A Waite Park man was arrested on charges of fleeing from police on foot in St. Cloud Monday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says 28-year-old Allan Hooper fled from a traffic stop in the 900 block of 25th Ave North around 11:30 a.m. A witness followed Hooper and reported his whereabouts to the officers.

Hooper was arrested in the parking lot of Coborn’s on 8th Avenue North after an on-foot police chase. He was taken to Stearns County Jail where he is being held on a parole violation.

The Criminal Investigation Unit and Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force assisted the St. Cloud Police Department in the arrest.
