Archived: Teenage Driver Charged In Two-Car Crash Near Rice Over The Weekend
A young driver was charged with careless driving and unsafe tires after a two-car crash Saturday evening.
Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says a 16-year-old boy from Holdingford was driving west on County Road 2 when his Ford Mustang began sliding across the road. He slipped into the other lane and struck an SUV driven by 33-year-old Matthew Bagaglio of Little Falls.
Officers responded to the collision just before 6 p.m. near the Rice Bridge.
Bagaglio was driving with 29-year-old Tasha Bagalio, who is several months pregnant, and a 2-year-old child. Everyone in the crash was taken by ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Gold Cross Ambulance, Rice and Royalton Police Departments and Rice Fire and Rescue also responded at the scene.
