A driver was taken to the hospital after a three-car crash in the north side of St. Cloud Saturday afternoon.

Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of 25th Avenue and 1st Street North. Officers learned two cars slowed down for a pedestrian in the cross walk. A third car approached the intersection and rear-ended the car in front of it, leading to a pile up. The middle driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver who caused the accident fled the scene on foot. The case is being actively investigated.
