St. Cloud residents are invited to take part in a Sculpture Walk competition and show off their art skills. The competition is being organized by United Arts of Central Minnesota and the St. Cloud Arts Commission.

Coordinator Jennifer Penzkover says artists and local residents can submit up to three art works to the committee. Participants should limit the size of their art to a minimum height or width of 36 inches. All submitted works should be original in their conception and fabrication.

Sculptures should be capable of standing on their own and remaining in good shape for one year in the outdoors. Each artist selected will receive $2,000 in honorarium per sculpture. Additionally, prize money will be awarded by a juried and people’s choice competition. 

The committee will select 12 sculptures which will be on display in public locations from  Lake George to the Mississippi River.

Participants should submit their work to the United Arts of Central Minnesota by Monday, April 11th.
