Three local Black Lives Matter activists are coming to the St. Cloud State University Campus Wednesday to discuss the movement and their own work as movement organizers.

The Women’s Center is presenting Lena Katherine Gardner, Kandace Montgomery and Luna Gabriel as part of the Women on Wednesday lecture series. They will discuss how the Black Lives Matter movement emerged and different ways individuals can get involved.

Gardner is active with Black Live Matter in Minneapolis and works to include all races, religions and sexual orientations in the movement. Montgomery is part of Justice 4 All and an organizer for Take Action Minnesota. Gabriel is a student and campus organizer at SCSU.

They will be speaking at noon in the Atwood Memorial Center Theatre. This event is open to the public.
