Archived: Waite Park City Council To Approve Concept Plan For New Amphitheater At Monday Meeting

The Waite Park City Council will meet Monday to discuss a new convenience store, the fire department and other topics on the agenda.

The council plans to approve a final plot of land for a Kwik Trip at 10th Avenue and 1st Street South.

Also on the agenda is the proposed retirement of Robert Jaeger, who devoted more than 20 years of service to the Waite Park Fire Department.

Lastly, council members will review a concept plan for the upcoming amphitheater at the old transformer quarry. City Administrator Shaunna Johnson says Monday’s meeting will focus on what the structure will look like and how it will be built. She adds one goal of construction is to preserve the natural beauty of the land. Construction is scheduled to begin next year.

The meeting will take place Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Waite Park City Hall.
