A St. Cloud man who refused to leave the courtroom after his hearing last Friday was eventually tazed when he did not cooperate with authorities.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says 32 year-old Gawech Yiek Thach was on temporary leave from the St. Cloud Hospital to attend his civil commitment hearing at the courthouse.

After the hearing he was ordered back to the hospital but he physically resisted his escort and became violent. And officer eventually tazed Thach and he was then transported back to the hospital.
