Three people were taken to the hospital after a broadside accident in Kandiyohi County Saturday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says an SUV driven by 40-year-old Andrew Ramirez was heading southbound on Country Road 7 when it failed to yield to right of way. Ramirez was then broadsided by a semitrailer driven by 58-year-old Douglas Reinert from Bird Island.

Ramirez and his passenger, 22-year-old Alyssa Ryan from Olivia, and Reinert suffered serious injuries.
