Firefighters responded to a building fire near Melrose Saturday night.

Stearns County Sheriff Jong Sanner says a passerby reported a fire along Highway 71 in Grove Township. The witness saw flames coming out of the roof on the west side of a shed. When deputies and Elrosa Fire Department arrived at the scene, they found the building was engulfed in fire.

The fire destroyed the whole building including a woodworking and automotive areas. No other injuries were reported. The cause of fire is under investigation. The building was owned by Michael and Jean Breitbach of Elrosa.
