The latest innovation in parking meter technology is coming to St. Cloud.

New parking meters will be installed in the parking lot in front of the Stearns County Administration Center in downtown St. Cloud. The new meters will not only accept coins but debit and credit cards as well. They will replace the 31 meters currently in the lot and the price for parking will remain the same at 50 cents per hour.

City officials are looking to replace existing parking meters all across the city. The meters being installed are on a one year trial period to test their performance.
