Three people were taken to the hospital after a rollover accident on the north side of St. Cloud Sunday night.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the accident in the 3200 block of 7th Street North at 6:40 p.m. The investigation shows 33-year-old Mohamed Mumbarak Abdi was making a right turn while exiting from Super America to 7th Street North.

Abdi says he tried to swerve off to the right of the road to avoid striking an oncoming car. He then hit an electrical pole and his vehicle rolled. Abdi’s passengers, 30-year-old Hibo Mohamed Hassan, 29-year-old Omar Fatuma Mohamed and 34-year-old Omar Abshiro Mohamud who are all from St. Cloud, were taken to the the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Abdi was treated for minor injuries. It is not determined whether he will be cited for any driving violation.
