The 10th annual Science Rocks! program welcomes more than 700 fifth and sixth grade students from area schools to St. Cloud State University.

The students will experience college and hands on learning at the event. The event takes place at Wick Science Building, Brown Hall, and the ISELF building on Tuesday. The conference is coordinated by Resource Training & Solutions.

This conference is designed to introduce 5th & 6th grade students to a variety of science and nature elements through presentations and hands on learning. Students have the opportunity to learn at four different sessions throughout the day. Sessions include topics such as “Insect Safari”, “How To Tell an Agate from an Amethyst” and “Toilet to Tap”.

All the sessions are taught by professional in their fields including engineers, naturalists, nurses, and mathematicians.

Schools participating include Avon, Albany, Annandale, Becker, Big Lake, Buffalo, Clearview, Discovery School, Holdingford, Kimball, Mora, Princeton, Rockford Middle School, Royalton, South Junior High and many more.
