The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisory for St. Cloud and parts of western and Central Minnesota through Wednesday afternoon.

St. Cloud State University Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman says St. Cloud will see wet snow due to the warm weather conditions. St. Cloud will not get more than 2-3 inches of snow since temperatures are expected to rise Wednesday morning. People are advised to watch for frozen spots hidden by snow on the ground. Drivers are also encouraged to drive slowly and carefully due to the reduced visibility.

The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
