St. Cloud drivers should be aware of a two day road closure in the north side of the city.

The City Engineer Office says 5th Avenue North from 2nd to 4th Street will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

The closure is due to construction of the Beaver Island Trail, which is now in phase three of the project. The construction is extending the trail passed downtown to North St. Cloud. A new grand staircase will also be added near the River’s Edge Convention Center.
