Two Elk River women were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a rollover accident in Sherburne County early Monday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 25-year-old Laura Overson was driving northbound on Highway 169 when her vehicle swerved off the road and rolled. The accident happened at Highway 10 in Elk River at 1:30 a.m.

Overson and her passenger, 24-year-old Brittany Baker, were taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Elk River Police Department assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
