Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System has granted $10,000 to St. Cloud State University for its Community College Connection Program.

The Retention, Completion and Employment Grant creates an Academic Coaching Model for students with low ACT score or high school grade point average. The program is founded by SCSU and St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

While some students find their ideal program at the university, some others come to the understanding that SCTCC is a better place for their major. This joint program helps students identify what their strengths are and decide what major and career they want to pursue.

Students can also attend an academic coaching program with a mentor who gives them an in-depth assessment and connects them with career services.
