HUTCHINSON, Minn. (AP) – Authorities haven’t said whether the man fatally shot in a scuffle involving law enforcement in Hutchinson was armed.

One of the officers who responded to a residence Sunday about 4 p.m. was shot in the leg and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center. The officer is recovering.

Police were called to the home on a report of a verbal fight. Authorities say a struggle began and shots were fired. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the victim and officers involved in the shooting haven’t been released. The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.
