Archived: LEAF Announces Fall 2015 Grants For District 742 Schools
The District 742 Local Education & Activities Foundation received more than $24,600 during its fall activities funds granting cycle.
LEAF gives additional funding to various school programs each year. Teachers, coaches and advisers submit grant applications for special projects twice a year. Academic Grants are awarded each March.
This year’s grants include $3,200 for Tech High School’s girls basketball uniforms, $2,100 for the district-wide First Robotics Program among many other program grants.
LEAF was founded in 1993 as an independent, non-profit organization to promote extracurricular activities and academic opportunities in District 742 public schools. LEAF has contributed more than $1 million to projects in the district since 1996.
