Archived: SCSU Fraternities and Sororities Decorate Houses Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

October is breast cancer awareness month and many St. Cloud State University students are showing their support to help find the cure. Many different demonstrations and events have been taking place throughout the month on campus but one contest involving pink houses has caught the attention of not only students but also the community.

St. Cloud State fraternities and sororities are competing in a contest to see which Greek organization can get the most Facebook “likes” for their decorated pink house. Each group posted a picture of their decked out pink house to the SCSU Facebook page and the house with most “likes” will win the contest.

The contest ends at 6 p.m. today so far of the 7 Greek organizations involved Delta Phi Epsilon is in the lead with 1,900 likes and following closely behind is Theta Phi Alpha with 1,500 likes.

The winner of the contest will receive a $50 Sodexo gift card.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will also be taking place at St. Cloud State Saturday, October 17 the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. and registration is still open.
