A 26-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being injured in a broadside accident in Sherburne County Sunday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Sean Ayer from Plymouth was traveling southbound on Highway 25. Another car driven by 29-year-old Ignacio Gomez was heading eastbound on County Road 16 when he went through the stop sign and broadsided Ayer.

Ayer had two passengers, Nickole Ayer and Levi Ayer, at the time of driving. Nickole Ayer received serious injuries and Levi suffered from minor injuries. Both of them were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital. Gomez also had a passenger, Gerardo Gomez, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Ignacio Gomez was not injured. Both cars were totaled in the accident.
