Archived: St. Cloud City Council To Review Two Liquor Licenses Requests At Meeting Monday

The St. Cloud City Council will meet Monday at 6 p.m. to discuss happenings and events around the community.

The council will begin the meeting with a proclamation declaring St. Cloud Historic Preservation Month and then proceed with tasks on the agenda.

The agenda includes the approval of a temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license for St. Cloud State University for Saturday, September 19 as part of Celebrate St. Cloud. An approval of the license will allow SCSU to offer drinks to folks older than 21 at the Husky football game against Southwest Minnesota State University.

Meanwhile, a new burger bar is coming to the downtown area. The 7 West Taphouse also submitted an application for a wine and on-sale 3.2 percent malt liquor license. A public hearing will be set for later this month.

The meeting will be held at the City Council Chambers on 2nd Street South in St. Cloud.
