The body of a New London man was recovered in Big Lake just before 7 a.m. Monday morning.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says 47-year-old Lee Gerhardson was found dead in about 10 feet of water near the swimming area of Big Lake beach. The body was discovered by a city worker.

The cause of death is still under investigation but foul play is not suspected.
