Police arrested a 16-year-old from St. Cloud believed to be responsible for the death of 20-year-old Davee Moshea “Foolish” Devose.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a knife complaint at the intersection of 6th Avenue South and 5th Street South at 1:40 a.m. Friday. Officers and Gold Cross paramedics tried to revive Devose but he died at the scene.

Burke adds the suspect was walking with three other individuals around a house when an argument broke out and led to a fight. The suspect allegedly stabbed Devose one time in the chest.

The teenager fled from the scene and officers arrested him in an alleyway near the 900 block of 5th Avenue South. Officers conducted a show up with a witness and took the 16-year-old into custody for violating curfew. The suspect later confessed he is responsible for stabbing Devose. He is facing charges of 2nd degree murder, 2nd degree assault and curfew violation.

Devose’s body was taken to Ramsey County Medical Examiner for autopsy. An investigation is still active. Police recovered a knife one and half block away from the scene.

Friends and families are remembering Devose by placing flowers and signs at the site of his death. His family started a GoFundMe account and are accepting donations.
