First Responders with the Albertville Fire Department are going to have the tools to save more animal’s lives in fire emergencies.

The department is receiving an animal rescue oxygen mask kit through a donation from the Invisible Fence Company. The masks are designed to be potentially life-saving devices that will provide an animal with oxygen during an emergency.

Most states do not have the proper safety equipment to save an animal’s life. It is estimated that an average of 40,000 to 150,000 pets die in fires each year. The donation is part of a national outreach called Project Breathe.
