The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and St. Cloud Police Department are planning to apply for a Justice Assistance Grant.

Sheriff John Sanner says the grant is worth $28,911 and will be split between the two offices if awarded the funds. The Sheriff’s Office has plans to buy audio and video equipment to promote interview rooms. The Police Department intends to purchase a computerized fingerprint system and crime prevention educational materials.
