Stearns County received awards for exceptional performance in workplace safety and health Thursday at the Governor’s Safety Awards luncheon.

Stearns County says the Administration Center, Services Center and Public Works and Parks took home the Meritorious Achievement Award in Occupational Safety.

Since 1934, the Governor’s Safety Awards have been recognizing Minnesota employers for their safety preparedness.

This year the awards were presented at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
