On Thursday morning just before 5 a.m. police were called to the Islamic Center of St. Cloud located at the 300 block of 5th Avenue South in connection to a vandalism report.

Officers learned that two windows had been broken, one on the front door of the building and the other on a car parked next to the center. Several members were attending prayers during the incident and followed the suspect. Witnesses caught the suspect and brought him back to the scene. Police identified him as 29-year-old Abdourahamane Diallo of St. Cloud.

Diallo was a regular member of the center and admitted he damaged it out of personal frustrations. Diallo appeared to be intoxicated and was taken to Stearns County Jail pending charges of felony criminal damage to property.
