A 92-year-old St. Cloud man died after a car accident Thursday afternoon. The St. Cloud police report indicates shortly after 4 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of 33rd Avenue North and Veterans Drive in connection to a vehicle accident.

Officers learned that 27-year-old Rochelle Ann Braegelmann of Richmond was driving her SUV in the outside lane in the 3200 block of Veterans Drive. Braegelmann approached the 33rd Avenue North intersection and drove west when she was struck by a sedan driven by 92-year-old Alvin Val Hennen of St. Cloud.

Witnesses say Hennen ran a red light and also crash into a nearby building. Hennen was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital where he later died. Braegelmann didn’t receive any life threatening injuries.
